EFL Tutors is a small company who have been very responsive to my child’s changing support needs. My son had a very good experience working with 2 tutors during his Highers. Both tutors were online and could display all the working out and notes on screen. The tutors were good at communicating with (awkward) teenagers and used test questions and homework tasks (Higher English) to ascertain gaps in knowledge and exam technique. Aside from improving his academic skills, working with EFL Tutors has had a major positive impact on my son’s mental health as he is much less anxious sitting his exams compared to previous years.
Florence has been amazing with my daughter and myself. She has been so accommodating but more importantly she has given my daughter confidence. She feels it is a lot easier with her subjects with Florence and feels like she is learning things she wouldn’t have in class. I would recommend her to anyone.
Following your Parent Consultation, we'll carefully match your child with the tutor best suited to their subject, level, learning style and personality. Finding the right fit is just as important to us as subject expertise, helping your child feel comfortable, supported and confident from the very first session.
Most families choose weekly sessions to provide consistency and build momentum, but we'll recommend a schedule based on your child's goals, workload and availability. Whether they're preparing for exams or building confidence over time, we'll help you find an approach that works.
Yes. Many of our tutors have experience supporting students with additional support needs, including ADHD, autism, dyslexia and anxiety. We tailor our approach to each student's individual needs and encourage parents to share any information that will help us create the best possible learning experience.
Absolutely. Our online lessons are interactive, engaging and designed to help students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. Using shared whiteboards, digital resources and collaborative tools, our tutors create an experience that's every bit as effective as face-to-face tutoring, without the need to travel.
Of course. We take great care when matching tutors, but if you don't feel it's the right fit, simply let us know. We'll happily arrange an alternative tutor, your child's comfort, confidence and progress are always our priority.
It's a relaxed, no-obligation conversation where we'll learn more about your child, their goals and any challenges they're facing. We'll answer your questions, recommend the support we believe will help most, and explain the next steps if you decide to move forward.
